Terms of Use

Updated: August 5, 2025

1. Introduction

By using the website and API of qrtools.adgex.com (the “Service”), you confirm your agreement to these Terms.

2. Service

The Service generates and recognizes QR codes. Input content is processed server-side in memory solely to produce the response; by default such content is not stored. In exceptional diagnostic cases, an administrator may temporarily enable saving inbound images and/or results.

The Service is provided “as is” without any warranties. Access is provided over HTTPS; HTTP requests are automatically redirected to HTTPS.

3. User obligations

  • Comply with the laws of your jurisdiction and of Australia.
  • Do not enter your own or third parties’ personal data; you confirm you hold the rights to the content you submit.
  • Do not enter special categories of personal data (health, biometrics, religion, beliefs, sexual life, etc.).
  • Do not abuse the API (including DDoS, attempts to bypass limits, automated bulk parsing without caching, or uploading malicious content).

4. Technical limits

We apply per-client rate limits (typically based on the anonymous “cid” cookie) and/or by IP/agent. Thresholds and windows may vary by endpoint and may change without notice. On exceedance, 429 Too Many Requests is returned; respect the Retry-After header.

5. Limitation of liability

The Service is free of charge; the owner is not liable for any direct or indirect damages, lost profits, or loss of data.

You are responsible for verifying the correctness and suitability of the generated QR codes for your use.

6. Warranty disclaimer

Readability and compatibility of QR codes are not guaranteed for all devices and scanners.

7. Intellectual property

No rights to the Service’s source code are granted. Use of the API does not grant any right to copy, modify, or distribute the program code.

8. Access restriction/termination

We may restrict or terminate access to the Service if these Terms are breached or in cases of abuse.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Australia. Mandatory provisions of other laws (e.g., EU/EEA consumer law) apply to the extent required.

10. Changes to the Terms

Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
